Along Highway 291 sits Sundance Golf Course and Pro Shop, tucked amongst the tall pines. Across from the Pro Shop, a flavorful twist within what is now Sundance Bistro has been established. Executive Chef and Food Service Director with Disneyland, Director of Nutritional Services and Executive Chef with Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital, District Manager of a Food Services Company in California and owner of a Gourmet Cookie Company only make up part of the 32 years of experience that owners Walt and Victoria MacDuff have brought with them to provide gourmet dining in the Lake Spokane Area.
Only two weeks from the time the papers were signed this Executive Chef, who prepared menus in exclusive restaurants, brought gourmet flair to an Idaho hospital and a gourmet dessert chef, were now opening up their own kitchen once again. This time they would meld their experience and recipes together, 15 minutes northwest of downtown Spokane, WA. With only a day to convert from the previous aura, the MacDuff's made it happen. The nonpareil changes? Authentic Italian Cuisine, scrumptious desserts and quality service. In addition to Walt and Victoria personally preparing and serving each meal, their sons frequent the Bistro to learn the family business.
The Italian menu that includes dishes like Chicken Picatta, Linguine & Clams with Red or White Clam Sauce, Rustic Pizza and Calzones is not the only taste that Sundance Bistro offers. American influences like Wednesday's special of a Prime Rib dinner and hearty salads are also a specialty.
As winter approaches the Bistro hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00 – 7:00 pm, and Friday 4:00 – 8:00 pm to serve dinner. Saturday and Sunday will be 8:00 am – 8:00 pm serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. During Golf Season the restaurant will be open Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during the week also.
