I was born and raised in Spokane, and have lived here all of my life.  I started playing golf at the ripe old age of 3, when my father bought me a set of clubs a year early for my 4th birthday (mother disapproved).

I played amateur golf through my teenage years until I started working at Indian Canyon GC, where I ran the driving range.  After a stint in the Marines, I returned to Spokane where I started college at SFCC.  While attending school, I started working at Downriver GC as Pro Shop help.  During the summer months while working at Downriver, I would take off and caddy for the Nike Tour when possible.

Trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my career, I decided with everything I like being relate to golf; that was the path.

I continued to work at Downriver for the next 8 years, entering into the Professional Golfers of America Professional Golfers Management School.   I returned to Indian Canyon to become a Teaching Professional. While at Indian Canyon, I worked with beginners, NCAA college golfers, and ran the Nike Junior Camps.  One year later, I became the Head Professional/General Manager at Priest Lake Golf Club in Priest Lake ID.  After a 5 year stay at Priest Lake GC, I became the Head Professional at Sun Dance Golf Course in 2008.

My Teaching philosophy is to keep it simple and keep it natural.  I will work with my students to achieve there golfing goals using my professional knowledge of the swing and current technology.  I am proficient with JC Video and V1 golf coach programs.  I only use these golf swing video programs to help me in diagnosing swing faults, and will only show students if they request.

I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta, and was introduced to the game of golf at the age of 4 by my parents. Both of my parents were prominent amateur golfers within the city and province.

I graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School in 1986, and started to attend Mount Royal University. While attending school, I decided to join the Canadian Professional Golfers Association and pursue a career with the game I loved and have played my entire life.

I entered the Canadian P.G.A apprenticeship program in 1987, which is a 5 year training program. My apprenticeship started at the Turner Valley Golf Club where I worked for 4 seasons. From there I moved to the Red Deer Golf & Country Club and finished my apprenticeship. In 1992 I and became a full member of the Canadian P.G.A. In 1998 I became the Head Professional/General Manager at the Sunnydale Golf Club on Vancouver Island. Remaining on Vancouver Island until 2002, I took a leave of absence from the game of golf and moved to Wisconsin. In 2009 I moved back to Creston B.C and rejoined the Canadian P.G.A as an Assistant Professional at the Creston Golf Club. I moved to the Spokane area in 2012 and started working at the Sun Dance Golf Club in 2013 as an Assistant Golf Professional.

My student base has included raw beginners to players in the NCAA to the Canadian Tour. My teaching methods are very simple. I work with each student developing a lesson program that is best suited to their individual needs. My methods of teaching and drills that I have found to be successful are derived from such instructors as David Leadbetter, Dr. Gary Wiren and Michael Breed. .

I was born in Auburn Washington and lived in Bonney Lake, North of Seattle. At eight, my family moved to Spokane, where I have lived since. I went from playing baseball to golf, because of elbow surgery. I started playing competitively as a sophomore at North Central High School; qualifying as No 1 after the first tryouts. My senior year, I was able to qualify for the WIAA State Championships by placing third at regional’s, with a -3 under par 69, being the first student in sixteen years to make it to state at my high school.

After graduating in 2006, I was given a scholarship to play at Olympic College in Bremerton WA. Our first year, my teammates and I were able to win our region. After two years at Olympic, I was asked to play NCAA Div. 2 golf for Montana State University in Billings Montana. It was a short stay but while I was there I made it to number three on the team. In one of our tournaments we tied for 1st and beat the schools scoring record by fifteen shots with me shooting 70-67-74; tie for tenth. For the first time in school history, we beat our rival college on their home course in match play, were I helped by winning both my matches. Once I moved back to Spokane, I wanted to become a golf professional which I was able to find at Sun Dance Golf Course. Currently I am a registered apprentice golf professional in the P.G.A.’s Professional Golfers Management.

My teaching can range from the beginner; never swung a club, to a scratch golfer. My method is simple; for beginners, we start with the basics; poster, grip, head position, and ball placement. From there we will work on the full swing including the take away, the top of the swing, and follow through positions. I am also very capable of finding everyone’s unique swing style based on there height, strength, and athletic ability.
